Cement Additive
Cement additives are materials added to cement for the optimization of the cement properties and the cement grinding process. Cement additives are classified into different product groups such as grinding aids, strength enhancers and performance enhancers. Concrete admixtures refer to the components of concrete that are added immediately before or during the mixing process.
Additives are added to cement during manufacturing to improve its properties. Typically, the raw materials involved in cement manufacture include alumina, lime, iron oxide, and silica. After mixing, the materials are heated to about 1500℃ to allow the cement to achieve its final chemical properties.
